2017 WCRCC Lincoln Day Dinner a huge success
David Bossie, the Deputy Campaign Manager for President Donald Trump was the featured speaker at the Wicomico GOP Lincoln Day Dinner. Over 130 people were in attendance including many state and local elected officials as well as several candidates for office.
Bossie talked about his time working on President Trump's campaign and that special moment on election night in 2016 when they knew that they had won. He also encouraged everyone to put campaign rhetoric from 2016 behind them and focus on re-electing Governor Hogan. Mr. Bossie stated that his number one priority as the MDGOP National Committeeman is to ensure Governor Hogan is re-elected and to pick up five State Senate seats to ensure a veto override proof minority in the General Assembly.
The Salisbury University College Republicans co-hosted the event and held a 50/50 raffle where they raised $280 after the winner Maryland State Delegate Christopher Adams (37-B) donated his winnings back to the College Republicans.
President Abraham Lincoln gave a speech recounting his early years becoming a State Delegate in Illinois and the difficulties he had to overcome to get there. He clearly struggled with modern technology but was able to overcome that as well. The President was accompanied by the 7th Maryland Regimental Band - Eastern Shore Detachment.
The VIP Reception gave many individuals to have some time David Bossie and we appreciate those donors for going above and beyond for tonights fundraiser.
